Iran
Monitor

A real-time, open-source crisis monitoring platform built by the Iranian diaspora to track, document, and amplify events inside Iran.

Our Mission
Transparency
for Iran

We believe access to accurate, real-time information is a fundamental right — especially during times of crisis.

Iran's information ecosystem is fractured. State media controls the narrative, internet shutdowns silence citizens, and the international community struggles to get reliable data. IranMonitor bridges this gap by aggregating, verifying, and presenting information from multiple sources in real-time.

Beyond Crisis Monitoring

What IranMonitor Includes

AI-Assisted Processing

Natural language processing categorizes events, detects sentiment, and identifies geographic patterns across sources.

Community Feedback

Our Telegram community helps verify information, report inaccuracies, and contribute local knowledge.

Team

Who Is Behind IranMonitor

IranMonitor was created by members of the Iranian diaspora who felt the urgent need for a centralized, reliable source of information during the ongoing crisis.

We are a small team of volunteers — engineers, designers, and journalists — who donate our time and skills. We have no political affiliation and no funding from any government or organization.

Transparency

Transparency & Running Costs

IranMonitor runs on minimal infrastructure to keep costs low and sustainability high. Here's what it costs to keep the lights on:

  • Vercel Pro hosting: ~$20/month
  • Supabase database: ~$25/month
  • API costs (news, social, AI): ~$50/month
Community Support

Donations

All donations go directly toward infrastructure costs. We don't pay salaries — everyone involved is a volunteer.

If you'd like to support the project, you can donate through the button in the header. Every dollar helps keep this platform running.
